OH LA LA! Café Bar — Restaurant in Vera

Great place for a drink or food. Very welcoming and good quick service. No need to dress for the occasion. One of the few places away from the beach where this is true. I can recommend the Gambas and garlic. You only get 6 prawns but they are large and succulent. Some of the menu is shown as pictures on the wall so choice is not a problem if you are not fluent in Spanish. Very popular with a range of nationalities but mainly Brits when we visited. Handy bar with cheap wine if you are staying in this part of the resort but generally unfriendly staff and lack of interest. If you order food and drink here and you are British, you get a couple of pieces of oily spam as nibbles with the wine (many glasses),others seem to get olives, cheese and ham etc. ordered the pork loin as a main dish and got 2 bits of thick cut bacon, no aperitif with the bill , that is the usual practice in the area.Better off going down to Casa Maria for food, 10 min...

After we came here first time, we wanted to come here all everything’s we lived in Vera Playa!! The food, the atmosphere here is amazing!!! We tried here paella with rabbit, the lamb (these dishes must be ordered one day in advance), Andalusian Calmarus. Fantastic!! Even we do not speak in Spanish- it’s also no problem- the staff is very friendly and helpful!!! We will come back...
