La Fornería — Restaurant in Vera

I don’t normally post feedback online about a place I have been too but on this occasion I feel I must .. if there was a zero I would have to give it but there isn’t and that would maybe be unfair as the kitchen and FOH team obviously work hard to deliver the best they can … We visited today for a pastry and coffee and after 30 minutes I had to use the bathroom .. no toilet paper or hand towels .. so had to use what I could find in the used towels bin.. you get the picture. I went outside to speak to the owner and expressed my concerns and unfortunately she immediately went on the defensive saying they are very busy and the bathroom is checked every 2 hours .. Google followers I can assure that the Cafe wasn’t full or under pressure whatsoever.. but if the staff had visited the bathroom even 2 hours earlier they would have seen both the impending shortages and I’m sure rectified them, politely suggesting that if the staff were so stretched she could have resolved the issue she immediately told me she didn’t need me to tell her how to run her business etc etc … And Google followers there is a prime example of how a small successful business is let down by arrogant, rude and uncaring owners who don’t listen to a customer. Good pastries. Absolutely horrid service. The place was very busy so I went to order at the counter to speed things up and told them we were sitting at a table. A waiter came to tell us off and accused us of fooling them by ordering at the counter and sitting down, so we would pay less. When I tried to explain that I had told the lady at the cashier that we were sitting at a table and that if there had been a misunderstanding I would be happy to pay the difference, he turned his back to us and walked away. When I called him one more time to explain, he very rudely told me he didn’t have time to hear my explanations and had too many things in his head to care. Panaderia La Forneria Belga is a Bakery 🥪 🥖 🥐 and Coffee ☕ house 🏠 on the roadside of Vera Playa Shopping 🛍 This time was disappointing to say the least. Prices up and Tostada sizes down by 50% shows that they are cashing in on their success and think people won't notice. But people do notice and mind! Meats and Salmon were tasty.
