We had a great time on the Cies Islands! We had 2 tents with one double bed in each tent so we were near the front - in fact one was right at the front and the other was in the row behind! When we arrived, inside the tent there was one double bed, 2 sleeping bags, one pillow and a sheet. There were also 2 wooden things to put your luggage on to keep it off the floor - this is why I say it's not 'glamping'! We weren't expecting anything more and although it was basic it was sufficient for the 4 nights we stayed there. The only thing which would have made our stay more comfortable would have been a small table and a couple of chairs to sit on so we weren't always having to sit on or lie on the bed! Maybe this could have been an option to pay a bit extra for!? Due to the location of our tent, the only thing we found noisy were the seagulls!! They just didn't stop squarking!! Take some earplugs!! ||The toilets and showers were fine - although you do have to be very quick in the showers as the tokens only last for 3 minutes and 20 cents doesn't last long either! I tended to have one around 6pm and never had to queue - later on you'll have to as it does get busy! ||The restaurant near the ferry port was dreadful - the waitress forgot part of our order and when we asked where it was she said we didn't order it. She then slammed a pint of lager down on the table and had a go at my other half! The manager said she was meant to tell us that part of the order wasn't available so she had also lied to us. At the start she also covered around 5 other tables before coming to us and taking our order - she seemed to have a problem with us form the start and we have no idea why!||The restaurant next to the bar wasn't much better - we queued for an hour before we managed to eat and the food wasn't particularly great! ||The fish restaurant, on the other hand, was great! The fish was very fresh and although simply cooked, tasted fantastic! Although it was quite busy, the staff were very friendly and helpful. You pay a bit more there but it was worth it!||The island itself was beautiful. The views were fantastic and the whole place was very clean and litter free - really nice to see that people had respect for the environment!||There are a few different beaches - the main beach can be a bit full on either end, but if you walk a bit to the middle, then there is plenty of space. The nudist beach wasn't full of nude people (just one or two) and was much quieter than any others - worth a visit! ||The walks around the island are excellent! Really fantastic views and nice shady parts to rest for a drink - make sure you wear sun cream if you're going on the long walk to the highest lighthouse!||All in all we had a fab time and really enjoyed being there! Would recommend but don't have high hopes for the quality of the camping - it's just camping,...

Read moreJust as anyone else said, sure it's such a beautiful island with great beaches but I wouldn't go camping there again. I was on different camping spots all over Galicia and I haven't seen anything as bad as the one on the cies islands. When you enter the island and even before, you start noticing that this "national park" industry seems to be the excuse for the owner to ripp people off. You need to keep in mind that you pay a few things extra: the price for parking your car in Vigo, the ferry (funny thing is that all of the three ferry companies have the exact same price), the high water and food prices, hot water for the showers. But don't think you could easily bring your own food because you have to take it there and need to protect it from the sea gulls. also in general no one cares how you get your stuff there and let's be honest, camping requires a few more things. you can get one of those little carriages but you have to be really fast, because usually they will be used by other people. once you entered the camping spot you need to find a good spot as fast as possible. so I can tell you, that the atmosphere isn't a really nice one. Also the bathroom facilities aren't really clean and nice, keep in mind that the camping spot is huge and there are only two bathroom houses and one includes a few showers. the camping restaurant is overpriced as we had breakfast there and paid for two people about 15€ for a few pieces of bread and coffee and juice. So all in all, I wouldn't recommend camping there. for one reason to not support this national park mafia and on the other hand it's just not worth the money and the stress. the idea seems romantic but the reality shows the difference. I think to spend a day there is actually enough. there are so many other, nicer spots all over Galicia that are not as touristy as this one with...
