The restaurant El Posit La Pineda
[ ] good design combined with modern interior [ ] Absolutely good location for a holiday based restaurant [ ] the type of restaurant is mediterrian seafood restaurant [ ] We were four (2 adults, 2 children 7-11 years old) [ ] We ordered pasta bologna’s for kids, grilled octopus and grilled dorado for adults. Grilled buttered calimary As starter. A bottle of Sauvignon blanc. [ ] Service is really bad: taking order more than 20 minutes after we came. The starter came only after main meals. [ ] Meals: dorado was not prepared - it was really rear. We asked to cook it better - they changed and cooked well enough. The taste of dorado - just not better than anywhere near the shore in small cafes - normally grilled with too much butter. [ ] Octopus: grilled with no taste. Just can say it is normal, but not tasty - if we say about tasty. [ ] Wine: ordered Sauvignon Blanc. The choice of wine is really bad. It has to be more combined to the food. But I do not think that any of waiters know that. [ ] So that: the restaurant marked for me personally as 1 from 10 degrees. The reason is: the style of interior and the food are absolutely not the same so looks like like a trick. Do not spend time there: they do...
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant is completely misleading—almost a scam—if you judge by how good you expect the food to be based on looks alone. We ordered razor clams, baby octopus, cod fritters, and black ink noodles. Overall, the seafood was not fresh and overly salty.
To make things worse, it took the waiter at least 20 minutes just to take our food order after we’d already ordered drinks. Then we waited 40 more minutes only to discover they had brought us the wrong dish, a regular seafood paella instead of the black ink noodles we had clearly ordered. We even showed them both the picture and the name from the digital menu when we gave the order but they still got it wrong.
By the time the wrong dish finally arrived, my friend and I had already lost our appetite due to the long wait and frustration. We ended up leaving and going back to the hotel without eating. Honestly, we should have just had the buffet at the hotel instead of wasting time at this seemingly high-end restaurant that served below-average food with poor service.
They didn’t even understand the phrase “take it to go” until I switched to “take it away.”...

While staying at PortAventura with my kids, we decided to celebrate my birthday at El Pòsit La Pineda, and wow what an incredible decision that turned out to be.
From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. Our waiter, Victor, was outstanding — super friendly, knew the menu inside out, and made us feel right at home.
The food? Absolutely amazing. The Especial Pòsit was a standout, fresh, packed with flavour and beautifully presented. We also had the Pulpo con Parmentier de patata, Calamares, Ostras, and some top-tier desserts (don’t skip the Tiramisu or Crema Catalana).
One of my kids didn’t take to the steak, just typical kid fussiness and even though it was perfectly cooked and delicious, the team refunded it without even being asked when they noticed it wasn’t touched. That kind of thoughtful, genuine service is something you don’t see every day.
The atmosphere, the quality, and the attention to detail made this one of the most memorable birthday meals I’ve ever had.
