We are lucky to have this new place open up in Villaviviosa. If you're a fan of tacos and haven't yet visited La Carboneria, you're in for a treat. On my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Tacos Camarones, listed as a special, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience.

The shrimp was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The homemade corn tortillas were soft and warm, serving as the perfect vessel for this delicious filling.

What truly set these tacos apart was the blend of spices and the zesty sauce that tied everything together. The flavors were bold yet harmonious, with a hint of heat that didn't overpower the delicate taste of the shrimp. It was clear that a lot of thought and care had gone into crafting this dish.

I was so impressed that I couldn't resist sharing my enthusiasm with the owners, urging them to make the Tacos Camarones a permanent fixture on their menu. They agreed that it had been a popular choice among customers, and I can only hope they'll take my suggestion to heart.

They brought us the wrong food two times, and each time, I carefully explained what I actually ordered to a blank faced server who didn't listen to a word I said.

We waited 90 minutes for four tacos, which never actually arrived.

Then they said they'd cancel our order and take it off the bill, since in the end the food never came, but the bill arrived and we were still charged for the food they never brought, which they said they had cancelled.

Why is it that a taqueria in California, for example, can serve hundreds of tacos fast, while this place cannot serve four tacos in 90 minutes? This place is an insult to Mexican restaurants where people actually work hard and care about the quality of their food and service.

We were so delighted when “something new” came to town. We’ve enjoyed all of our meals here but today was better than ever. First we had the ceviche—so fresh, the perfect blend of flavors, with just the right amount of picante. We thought that was amazing until the arrival of the tacos camarones — wow. The spices, the salsa. From now on, we’ll always ask for the specials first so as not to miss anything!
