Bar Pepín — Restaurant in Villena

Not often I give a full 5 stars but the menu del día today was faultless. Enhanced by an excellent waiter whose name I am sorry to say we did not get. But his girlfriend is doing a good job with his English.

To start some lovely warm bread with tomato and alioli - the best alioli I have had in a long time. And some nuts too.

We had melon with ham and the paella to start with both very tasty and good sized portions.

Unusually we both opted for the same main which was lamb chops. I asked for mine to be well cooked and they were exactly that but still lovely and moist and delicious.

One healthy desert of fresh pineapple and the other almond tart. Good sized portions again.

Followed by a good cortado. And all this washed down with a beer for him and wine and gaseosa for me.

The food was served quickly as was the bill when we asked. But the thing that really impress me was the waiter noticing the other half had dropped his napkin and bringing a fresh one over.

Will we be back - yes!

Muy mala experiencia y pésimo trato al cliente. Nos intentaron echar del local después de pagar la bebidas, ya que el dueño no quería gente en las mesas para tener hueco libre.

Añadir que éramos 9 personas y solo estaban dentro del local 4, ocupando una mesa pequeña.

Fueron muy maleducados con las formas, el dueño empezó a faltar el respeto y a molestarnos para que nos fuéramos, llegando a coger a uno de nosotros del brazo (ya fuera del local).

Nos comentaron gente de la zona que es habitual tener problemas porque el dueño se suele pone agresivo y pierde las formas.
