Short description?... Go! Guaranteed you will not be disappointed.
Longer description of our experience?... Having lived the Hotel and restaurant career for a period of my life... I will start by saying that far too many restaurants these days often make you feel you are intruding without a reservation, or that you should feel it is a privilege to dine in their establishment. Often forgetting that the privilege should be felt by the restaurant themselves, in that YOU HAVE CHOSEN to spend your hard earned money with them and not somewhere else.
So, with that in mind... And from the moment you walk through the door, you are made to feel welcome! Staff greet you with a smile and a warm welcome! Our evenings visit had been preceded with a reservation request for 5 people. Our warm greeting and smiley waiter looked to be expecting us and showed us to our table. The evening had become slightly chilled but a pleasant intermittent warm breeze from the Aircon above our heads soon too care of that! :) After being handed our menu's and without hurry, drinks were served to the table, shortly followed by complementary poppadum's and a generous selection of sauces! The restaurant has both A la Carte and set menus on offer, and our waiter kindly explained the set menu and clarified the 'side dishes' choice that accompanied the main dish. More that enough choices to satisfy the most challenging palate! Our Starter choices included chicken as well as king prawn Pakoras, Onion Bhajis, Chicken and Prawn Puri's. All adequate portions, and as light as a feather served with a mint and coriander sauce (different to the Mint Rita we already had!) the repeated Mmmmm's and looks from around the table said enough!! Flavours to waken your palate up without over facing the diner. With a fresh set of cutlery, and the perfect amount of interlude, the Main Course was served, and more dished than we knew what to do with!! Each main course is accompanied by either rice or Naan of your choice, together with a side dish of traditional curried vegetable of your choice (Spinach, potato, cauliflower, Paneer, chickpeas.. the list went on) All served on warming racks to keep your dishes suitable hot whilst dining. All our choices (Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Chefs Special Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goan King Prawns) were faultless, with another round of 'Mmmm's' and "You really need to taste this!!" in full swing!! all dishes were accompanied by more than enough rice and Naan breads to satisfy even the most hearty of appetites. Bellies suitably full, desert was a simple choice of Ice cream (various flavours) or a coffee to your liking.
Upon askng for the bill, a complementary liqueur was offered, and upon presenting the bill, 'Mukhwas' (the Indian After-Meal Breath Freshener sweet seeds) were left for our party to experience. Apart from fantastic food, it is the perfect amount of attentiveness to the diners, together with those little details (a smile, a thank you, the complementary Items) that guarantee a return visit from this family. Thank you Shreedhar for your friendly staff, warm hospitality and great cuisine! ...
Read moreThe Curry Palace has been a consistent favourite of ours over many years. We have recommended it to numerous friends and acquaintances and have shared our positive experiences on TripAdvisor. On our most recent visit, however, we invited friends & anticipated the usual high standard. Whilst the service was excellent and the food was plentiful, we found our menu choices to be extremely underwhelming if quite frankly 'not very nice' across all main dishes. Sadly, a lot of food went to waste. For now, we'll put down to our menu choice, but this is extremely unusual as we love all curry dishes & a first for us in any Indian Restaurant anywhere. The ice cream dessert whilst delicious was very small. One side of our party left an extremely healthy tip, whilst not expected we were not offered a complimentary drink at the end, which caused raised eyebrows when our neighbouring table received a tray of complimentary drinks.
Note: this restaurant offers an all inclusive menu but does not openly advertise it anymore. So you'll need to ask the staff if you desire this!
Whilst we'll continue to recommend 'The Curry Palace', our recommendation now comes with reservation, 'A meal is only as good as the last' Based on our overall experience we will be trying the 'Royal Ghurka' on our next visit to Javea...

Had high hopes for here... normally eat at Kathmandu, but fancied somewhere different..
Had to wait a long time to order, (almost an hour) but they were busy i guess. Starter was ok, king prawn puree was too sweet, and paneer pakora was luke warm. Tandoori mixed grill wasnt bad, but a little dry. Naan, I ordered a chicken tikka naan, but it came with cheese in it, not sure if my fault or now, but melted cheddar in a naan was disgusting, neither of us ate it. The biggest issue is that no one at all came to the table to check on the food at any point... not until the plates were cleared.. (about 20 mins after we finished eating!)which was too late tbh. I mentioned the naan and they offered to make us one without cheese, great, but too little too late. They did, at their own choice take the naan off the bill, which i appreciate, but it all could have been solved with someone just coming to the table occasionally...
Also, the house wine... yuk...
Summary. Service needs improvement, small issues that could have been sorted left us with a bad taste...
