Day 5 of the Divorcee Party We went to one restaurant near the sea, me and Gorjão came to reserve a table, since The Avenger and Goulam were at home eating eggs before a paella.
Mendes later arrived and entered not from the door but through the window, as you can see in the picture (pretty nice view) The first impression it was pretty good, great ventilation system (5 stars - Mendes keeps this as number one rule) - though impossible to get a waiter to attend our table, out table is in the ghost zone, The Avenger was evolving to The Impulsive, upset he said "let's leave, I'm gonna leave through the window again, **) One man show inside the restaurant, he welcomed us, served us, and we suspect he made our paellas, and our friend's tinto verano! For the effort they deserve our 4 stars rate, otherwise would be 2.
The Divorcee kept being very angry even while eating paella, he was astonished by the special paella, but called the black rice paella, " it's a piece of coal that's sticked to the pan, I'm eating glue"
At the end The Avenger left happy (and pivac has improved btw), and when he leaves happy, we all leave happy... As people say, "Happy Mendes, happy life!!"
PS: you should hire more waiters, otherwise the one man show is...
Read moreSo pleased we discovered this delightful, seafront restaurant which provided us with delicious food and great service. Thanks to the friendly, helpful staff, our friend’s birthday celebration (and our last night in Javea) was a really special evening. Our reserved table was beautiful with white table linen strewn with flower petals: the waiters were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Our fish dishes were perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. A delicious birthday cake with a birthday candle and a glass of fizz to make a toast to the birthday boy completed the meal. It was a memorable evening and our favourite restaurant during our stay in Javea. Hope to return to dine there again, later...
Read moreWe have been several times before and it's always been good, today was different. The service was incredibly slow, the staff all seemed more engaged chatting to each other and passers-by rather than serving customers. The starters were good, whitebait and salads. The mains were all undercooked both the salmon and John dory. One of the John Dory's was almost raw and was inedible, we were ignored when we tried to attract attention. We complained when a waiter finally appeared and the waiter said we should have told them there was a problem sooner and before we ate it ( it wasn't eaten it was cut up to see if any bits were edible). Paying the bill then took an extra 20 minutes no dedections were made. We...
