Extremely disappointing experience – poor service and communication

The staff had very limited English skills, which made it difficult to communicate even the simplest requests. We ordered cocktails and clearly said we wanted them before the food. We even went inside and clarified this before any food was brought out. Despite that, the food was still served just a minute later, before we even had a opportunity to drink our drinks.

We also asked for wine and beer to go with our meal, but again, the food arrived first and we were still sitting with our untouched cocktails. One person’s dish was served much later than everyone else’s, and when it finally arrived, it contained chicken — even though we had specifically asked for it without. The plate was taken back, but the replacement also had chicken in it — someone had clearly just tried to pick it out, but missed pieces. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the table next to us shared a very similar experience. They told us their food had also taken an extremely long time, and one of the three people at their table received their meal much later than the others. As the man from that table left, he turned to us and said, “I’m going home to cook spaghetti.” That really says it all.

By the time the correct dish finally arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. On top of that, the drinks that were supposed to come with the food were also wrong — we were given Coke instead of beer.

It’s clear that the owner has hired staff who are not equipped to serve international guests, especially those who speak only English. The owner handled the situation terribly, even going as far as blaming us, the guests, for not using the correct Spanish words — despite the fact that we had no reason to expect the need to speak Spanish at a tourist-friendly restaurant.

The food was tasteless, everything took far too long, and we felt disrespected and poorly treated throughout the entire visit. We cannot recommend this place and...

Last couple of weeks, I and my husband tried the food. It was great. We are American both raised in Germany but has property in Spanish too, so the culture of this restaurant and atmosphere was great. What I admire most about it was the server named Homer. He spoke a little Spanish and suddenly switched to his perfect English and also spoke with us fluent German. Wow the smile and the way he took care of us from the beginning until the end is extraordinary. Very great service. Very quick service and very helpful and good communicator and very professional. The food was great! Chocolate fondant that he recommended was also excellent. Music was amazing and chill. Hopefully to come back more once a week next time. Sadly it was out last day in...

The food was subpar – cold, tasteless, and definitely not what was described on the menu. But the worst part of all was the owner’s behavior. When we calmly and politely tried to give feedback about why we were unhappy with the long wait for the food and the fact that we were served the wrong dishes twice, he yelled at us in front of other guests and acted extremely arrogant. It was both embarrassing and uncomfortable – something you absolutely don’t expect when going out to eat.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. This wasn’t just a bad dinner – it was a downright unpleasant experience that we won’t forget anytime...
