Shocking reaction from the chefs! Visited yesterday and three of us ordered fillet steak and asked for them to be served ‘rare’. On cutting into our steaks what arrived was ‘medium to well done’. Queried this with waiter who took them back to kitchen…..what happened next was shocking…. The chef proceeded to cut the steaks in half and decided they were ‘rare’ and sent them back to us!! We were left with chunks of steak on our plates having been cut up with God knows what utensils!! This was highly embarrassing so unless being forced to cause a scene we had no option but to eat our meals! Rare steak should leave red juices on the plate, and as previous restaurant owners/chef we are well equipped on how to cook steaks. There where no juices in sight! The saving grace was that the steaks were tasty, but I like my steak juicy and almost mooing, so this was a disappointment. The veg on the other hand was cold and undercooked 🤷♀️ I understand that when it comes to expensive steak that the last thing a business wants is to replace three steaks, but if they get it wrong then at least they should try and rectify the situation but definitely not cut the steaks in half and insist they are right!! The front of house team seemed highly embarrassed and did take a bottle of wine off the bill, nice gesture but didn’t really compensate for the poor reaction from the chefs. We live locally and were treated like tourists. Certainly won’t be visiting again…. shame on...

We had the daily menu which consisted of five tasty starters, including salmon, cuttlefish, pulled pork, gazpacho and sorbet; main of iberico followed by an amazing chocolate mousse and coffee. All for only 29 euros. Bread was amazing as was the goats cheese appetizer. My daughter loved the battered chicken and chips. It really is fine dining for a fraction of the cost. Read moreWe dropped in without a reservation but were warmly welcomed. We both took the menu. My cod dish was absolutely top class and probably the best cooked cod I have ever tasted. My wife took the Thai red chicken curry which was also delicious. Very comfortable for dining and well decorated dining room with good ambience. Waiting staff very friendly and professional and created a very welcoming atmosphere.
