Super experience at Casa Emiliano. Our main reason for going was to watch the amazing sunset. Unfortunately it was very cloudy so didn’t get the views we expected. However there were beautiful views over Playa Blanca - especially when the lights came on after dark. Our dining experience surpassed our expectations. Authentic Canarian cuisine - generous portions and so tasty- crispy garlic bread starter to share, fried chicken for my husband and rabbit for our main courses. Accompanied by the most gorgeous Lanzarote Volcan White wine from La Geria region ( so our lovely friendly waiter whose name I didn’t get told us). Service was excellent and staff so friendly and welcoming. We didn’t feel rushed at all and really had a lovely leisurely, relaxing evening. Staff organised our return taxi to Playa Blanca very efficiently. Our bill was a very pleasant surprise- one starter, 2 mains, one dessert, 2 coffees and of course the delicious Lanzarote wine all for 62 euro !!! Lastly a very special mention to the cheeky chappy Zakaria who interacted with the diners and certainly added fun to our evening. All in all a...
Read moreI have been visiting this restaurant two to three times a year for over the last 25 years. Always loved the experience, the food and the staff. Post Covid it appears to be under new management and they need to up their game to keep existing customers coming back. I ordered a beer and the prawn cocktail. The young waiter brought the beer while it was still overflowing, no beer mat and left a large pool of beer running across the table. He then came back with a cloth and cleaned down both tables beside me but left my table with the beer mess. The prawn cocktail had four good size prawns but they were not deveined!! Not nice, particularly when in a cold dish. To be fair the bed of four orange segments, pineapple and lettuce was lovely and the Marie Rose sauce was delicious. This starter cost €9.50. I could not believe the cost of the other starter garlic prawns in oil starter at €11.00!! The main course prices have also jumped dramatically. I question the value for money of this restaurant and think they should have more price points within the existing...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was the lowlight of our holidays. The restaurant is situated in a really great place, with a fantastic view down the hills and onto the sea. It has the potential to be a gem, but unfortunately it's not well run. First, they had only one bottle of still water left (yes, water!), and multiple dishes on the menu were not available. The food was mediocre at best, rather small portions and of modest quality. But by far the worst, rock bottom, was the service. The person seemed to suffer of amnesia or something, because every single thing had to be asked for 2-3 times. In one case, I went to get the mayo personally at the counter, because we were waiting for it for 20 minutes and asked for it 4 (!) times. It was bizarre. In once case he removed the dirty dishes and we asked for two deserts and a coffee. He left, returned 10 minutes afterwards, to take the rest of the dirty dishes, and asked if we want deserts. Don't go there, it's not worth your energy...
