Aluthkade is one of the most renowned areas for street food in the country, going viral on social media a few years ago. Here, you can find a plethora of outlets offering an eclectic range of food items. While it is usually known as a crowded area, it was less busy on the day we visited. It also appeared that the number of shops had decreased from what it used to be.

As you step into the area, you're greeted with a pleasant mix of food smells and sights that make your mouth water. We started with club sandwiches and crispy chicken submarines, which were even more delicious than we expected. Then, we came across a shovel rice offer for only Rs. 3000/=. The massive portion of rice was loaded with scrumptious meat and seafood, making it absolutely worth the price, highly recommend this dish.

I was craving bamboo biryani but, unfortunately, missed it this time. The badam milk was fantastic, with a great texture from the almonds, though I personally felt it would have been better with slightly less sweetness. We also tried "One Shot" and "Smoky Bite," two of the popular, fuming street food experiences at Aluthkade. Both were fun to try.

Although you can’t expect top-notch hygiene here, it wasn’t entirely unacceptable. The customer service and friendliness were outstanding and much appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience that left us wanting to visit again oneday.❤️
