The worst experience we had today. Weâve visited Hadramiah Premium Restaurant at Grandpass more than twice before, but this last visit was nothing like what we expected â it was truly disappointing and upsetting. I feel itâs necessary to share this experience to raise awareness for others who might be considering this place.
We went in with a group of 15 people and ordered their 20 pax full goat Sawaan meal, which was priced at a staggering 55,000 LKR. Sadly, it was nowhere near worth the price. Firstly, the quality and taste of the food did not match our previous visits â it was bland, underwhelming, and felt like it had been prepared in a hurry. More shockingly, they didnât even serve all the items listed in the menu for that package. Several items were missing, and what we did receive felt like a downgraded version of what was promised.
When we politely brought this to their attention and asked for the missing items, the response we got was not only unprofessional but downright threatening. The so-called owner of the restaurant came over and threatened to beat us, speaking aggressively in Tamil â just for asking about the meal for what we had already paid for. It was an absolutely unacceptable way to treat any customer, let alone a large group who had trusted them with a major meal booking.
No apology, no accountability â just intimidation and hostility. This place has clearly lost its sense of customer respect and hospitality. I wouldnât recommend Hadramiah Premium Restaurant to anyone anymore. There are far better, safer, and more honest places to enjoy a good meal in Colombo. This was a truly regretful experience and never expected for since our first and second...
Read moreI initially had no plans to visit Hadramiah, but Iâm so glad I decided to give it a try. My first impression was fantastic; the interior exuded a soothing ambiance, and the majlis-style seating added a unique charm to the atmosphere. The food was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants, and each dish was remarkably filling.
We sampled three dishes: the Afghani-style chicken, mandi rice, and BBQ chicken paired with garlic naan. Each bite was a burst of flavors, especially the Afghani chicken, which truly stole the show. I savored every moment of the meal.
The restaurant also boasts ample space for dining, making it an excellent choice for large gatherings. Iâm already planning my next visit to explore more dishes from their diverse menu. Our total bill came in under 4,000, which included a delightful milkshake that was definitely worth it. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience that I can't...
Read moreI usually donât leave negative reviews, but I feel itâs important to share our experience so others can be better preparedđ
We visited this restaurant for the first time there primeum brunch with high hopes, especially after reading so many good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. We waited for over an hour for our food, and during that time, we received very little communication or updates from the staff. What made it even more difficult was that we had a young child with us âmy nephewâ who was extremely hungry and became quite upset after such a long wait. As any parent or guardian can understand, seeing a child in distress, especially due to hunger, is heartbreaking đ I truly hope this feedback helps the management reflect and improve the service experience for future customers, especially those with young...
