Wasthi Restaurant (The Royal Arcade) — Restaurant in Colombo

On the 26/05/2023 I went to this restaurant to check it out with my brothers and it was BYOB , the ambience was lovely and eye catching and the concept was pretty cool. We sat upstairs because it was packed anyway, the staff was amazing they were very quick and attentive, the Manager was very friendly and excellent in customer handling. the menu was okay and the pricing was reasonable for the portion size, so we ordered a lot to taste everything, The Handallo was amazing one of the best I have had , the texture was nice and crispy and moist inside, Egg Noodles was alright, the mix grill was good but crab was not fresh, the overacting prawns needed a little bit more working on , the side sauces were simple and nice , specially the mushroom sauce. Chicken dish and the pork belly was on point. Overall everything was amazing the bill came up to 21,500/- fully worth it .

So I made a Reservation for 8 on 27/05/2023 The Staff had done everything I asked for when I got there and they were very attentive and fast moving, specially the two upstairs who served me, they were excellent. How ever the food hadn’t consistency. I started with Calamari - was lacking flavor, prawn toast- was good specially when you have it with the salad & dip I ordered 3 of it :), Buffalo wings - could be better and needs to be cleaned properly found a feather, French fries - soggy not crispy, Handallo - was not fried properly it was not crispy and that was sad because that was my favorite. Belly pork- was different than last time, hot butter prawns - good in flavor , chicken dish - very good. Mixed Grill - was less sizzling and was over cooked. Mix Seafood Grill was not fresh at all the crab didn’t smell to good , I really think you guys have to work on the seafood because my stomach was not right the next day . So we ordered a lot and the bill was 39,000 not quite worth it this time .

The Bar and the Mocktails and Cocktails were Good , good job on that guys

This is NOT a Complaint You guys have something good going on with excellent staff service just need a little bit of working on food and consistency , definitely need to work on your seafood because it’s a serious thing. But overall everything was good. And good job. Oh and you need to get the upstairs A/C fixed because we were boiling since your A/C broke down, any way hope some one looks in to these things with out ignoring. Best of luck for the team ♥️...
