I so very much wanted to give a 5 star rating. I read the reviews with some inconsistency on the food, but I was hopeful.
The service was just right. Good presentation from start to finish. Excellent help by the Somali on wine selection, in the price range and perfect to taste.
Our starters were charcuterie selection and escargot. The cheese and meat were excellently paired and just the right quantity. The tomato chutney was a little to sweet, and worked well in combination. The escargot were well prepared and perfect presentation. A large shell with large flesh. The herb and butter combination was perfect.
We had the aged T-Bone for 2 with accompaniments. I was so looking to this perfectly prepared, as I had seen the aging chamber and the meat looked fabulous.
I must say the sauces and accompaniments are what shined. The meat was over cooked to a firm medium. I dont recall being asked what level of cooking we wanted, but I would have expected no more than medium rare. The meat was not juicy, which i would have expected. The out edges were so cooked, we had to cut away edge, fat and meat to get to a part that was food enough to actually eat. The filet was so done most could not be consumed.
The meat came with 3 sauces: Red Wine reduction, perfectly made Peppercorn, just right with a good pepper note Mushroom sauces, that was to for. The sauces are what allowed us to consume the meat.
I know, send it back. This is not America where we are so use to sending things back. I believe the steak was prepared how this restaurant always makes the meat. Eventhough it was not fully to my liking. I was asked how we liked the food several times, and we were honest about the meat being over done. This seemed to be the acceptable food services.
The sides provided were a small salad, with a fantastic grouping of veg and dressing, we wanted more. Roasted veg of corn, really good; roasted tomato halves, with no flavor; brocolli Rab, good but over roasted and Zucchini, perfectly cooked.
The food quantity and richness was such that a dessert and coffee would have been to much. Instead we finished our wine and relaxed.
I would return, I would be more open when ordering to insure the food.was prepared...

FOOD Most importantly: the food. Me and my date ordered the three course and we both were blown away. A fun detail is that the chef cooks and serves the dishes for sharing. The starters were delicate and precise, leaving you wanting more. With each serving the host explains and intrigues us while introducing the plates. Everything tastes a lot and incredible. From the evenings first bite, to...
Read moreGood location and food paired with incredible service makes it a top alternative to dine out in Örebro. As always I am always more impressed by starters than the mains. We had calamares and shrimps. Calamares could be one of the better ones I have ever eaten but they were rather expensive. A big letdown was when they presented the local farmed beef and that it could only be ordered at the 1kg size, so for two persons it would be rather much to eat. Main we had some lamb and deer, out of these the deer was much more tender. The waiter we had was impressive, he had passion for his work, described the dishes, recommended food and told us stories about wine and history. Highly recommended restaurant but go in larger parties so you can have their 1kg beef to share. A bit...
