Enoteca Maglia — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I wouldn't recommend this "establishment" to my enemies. It is an extremely overpriced place that very transparently tries to project an Italian aura, but fails miserably. The ingredients and produce (including the wines) are good, but beyond that, this "enoteca" lacks redeeming qualities. The cooking is bad, the clientele is repulsive, the menu is terrible and the prices are ridiculous, but below all, the service is probably the worst we have ever encountered at a restaurant. And we've encountered some pretty bad service. Uncouth and impolite to the extreme, they take every opportunity to be condescending (before ordering, we received an unsolicited lecture where the waitress went through the entire menu, bringing our attention to, among other things, the fact that dolce means sweet in Italian) despite their own lack of culinary merits or understanding. It then took them more than an hour to prepare our food, and even then they did not manage to synchronize it so that the entire company could receive their orders at the same time. My summary of the restaurant: Overrated and overpriced.

The food was not OK. The risotto was not acceptable considering this is an Italian restaurant. Consistency was way of and flavors did not match. This was an appatizer, which was reflected in size, but the cost was that of a main meal.

Their salsicia was mixed with kimchi in a way that completely ruined the taste of the sausage. The size of portion was also very small.

First of all great staff and a very nice ambience. However when it comes to food, and especially considered the price to quality-ratio, I would say the place is absolutely overrated. The lamb we ordered for 315 sek was below OK. Dry and chewy meat which tasted like sheep. The quality of the meat was below all expectations. In addition, did not even feel full after the meal.
