Järvsö is locally known as "Lilla Åre" - a place that increasingly caters to tourists from Stockholm. People like me. So there's a number of nice eateries for a village this size, and lot's of people recommended the creperie. Lovely atmosphere with outdoor dining and I bet this is a great place for drinks with friends on a sunny afternoon. For eating crepes, not quite so great.
I mean... there's nothing WRONG with the food I got - if so, I would have sent it back. But out of all the galettes I've eaten in my life, this was easily the least inspired, tasty, mouth watering and so on. It's like it's cooked completely without love. Or maybe they're skimping on the things that make things tasty, I don't know, but it was... lacklustre. In this price bracket, I...
Read moreI only tried the sweet crepes but they were rather a disappointment. Display of food is 5/5 but the content is average. The overpriced strawberry crepe had about 3 strawberries really thinly sliced and spread out. They all had their stems on which we had to remove one by one... Yes the pop of green looks good at serving but having to pick off the stems one by one is really not fun... The granskottssylt crepe was dry. It was only a folded crepe with ice cream and a bit of a jam on the side. I think it would make more sense to spread the filling inside of the crepe instead of serving everything on the side. Otherwise the place has a nice atmosphere but overall it's overpriced...
Read moreHas to be one of the most overrated places I have ever visited. Galletes looked tasty and well composed on the menu. Unfortunately what was served lacked in almost every aspect. Stated content was missing from 2 out of 3 galletes. Horseradish galette without horseradish. Green cabbage salad without green cabbage. There was hardly anything of defining ingredients for the rest either. Just a huge egg. The strawberry crepe was ok, but doesn't save the experience from rock bottom review. 500 SEK for 2 adult galettes, 1 simple kid galette and 1 crepe is far from ok if they can't even bother to get it right or bother to...
