What a surprisingly wonderful first-time experience I had today at restaurant Fir. Wanted to try out a new vegan place in my hometown and got to experience a bunch of new flavor combinations because of this spur of the moment. I ordered the focaccia and 3 dips as a starter and then the Arancini as the main course. The 3 dips were really good with very different distinct flavors that made me dig in with great eagerness. The focaccia was amazing: spongy with a slight crunch. The very first time I had Arancini was in Sicily last year so this was gonna be the second time. The first and most important difference is that these Arancini were not as filling and heavy as the ones down in Sicily - which was a very good thing in this case after the focaccia entré. These mushroom filled Arancini were absolutely delicious: super crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. And the tomato sauce, lemon and garnish complimented the heavy earthy flavor of the Arancini with some freshness. Didn’t even look at my cell phone the entire time I was eating. Was just completely immersed in all these wonderful flavors and didn’t expect to experience such a wonderful hearty Italian meal in my hometown here in Sweden. A must try for and food enthusiast out there.

All the food we tried was fantastic! We had the artichoke and leek dip, arancini, mushrooms and bread and dips. We also tried the chocolate ganache for dessert. Everything was tasty, but our favorites was the artichoke and leek dip along with the mushrooms. Super good wines, I loved all 3 of the swedish wines they had! The chocolate ganache didn't look to appealing, but tasted amazing. Staff was awesome and vibe was great!!! Loved the whole concept and will definitely be back the next time I visit Malmø❤️

Var här en vardag vid 16-17-tiden. Inga problem att få ett bord för två. Personalen hälsade oss välkomna och kom med vatten och menyer efter någon minut. Efter ytterligare en kort stund kom vår servitör tillbaka och frågade om vi ville beställa dricka. Han berättade om deras gedigna vinlista (som vi meddelade att vi inte var intresserade av) och om deras väldigt närbryddga öl! Vi beställde två lokala öl från Ofrälse och efter lite mer konfererande om menyn tog vi en förrätt, mellanrätt och huvudrätt att dela på två. Det räckte alldeles utmärkt för oss som inte var vrålhungriga. Vi fick först en stor portion pimentos de padrones som smakade mycket gott, till detta även en stor skål patatas bravas med mojo rojo och aioli(?). Kort efter att vi ätit den sista krispiga potatisen kom vår huvudrätt bestående av två kåldolmar av savoykål fyllda med bulgur(?) och linser, med en tomatsås till och en grillad chilifrukt. Allt smakade väldigt gott, de låter verkligen grönsakerna ta plats och deras naturliga smaker stå för sig. Med det sagt hade vi önskat lite mer punch i fyllningen till kåldolmarna, chilin var väldigt god och kunde fått vara mer av! Kanske en god chiliolja på? Allt som allt var vi riktigt nöjda med besöket, god öl, god mat och väldigt trevlig personal som är uppmärksam, kunnig och personlig utan att kännas påträngande.
