Pizzeria Esplanaden — Restaurant in Norrtälje kommun

Sooo! Short story.. hahaha I come to Norrtelje for work, and I'm here second week.. After 12h shift, today, Monday, I search on the line 😂 for some good food to get my belly happy. Normaly I do not eat dinner, but sometime I cheat myself, and I find Esplanaden, and kebab.. I love kebab, so I said let's try this one! I eat in diferent countries kebab, but never in Turkey, btw, must go there to try.. From this Europian countries where I try kebab, they are good.. but this one from Esplanaden Norrtalje.. don't know what to say more! No one speaks english, and I need few minutes to explain what I want, and than main chef told me, I speek little bit, but little bit English.. He ask me where are you from.. I said, from Croatia, and he said to me ooo, kako si, and in the same time he said dobro sam.. "How are you"- I'm wery well" I start to laugh, didn't expected that in Norrtalje, Turkish guy know few words in Croatian.. So he start to prepare for me kebab, and told me that I take it to go because they will close soon... He put all this things in kebab and I take it, and say see you guys tommorow.. When I get to my apartmen and start to eat.. like I said before, don't know what to say more!!! I maid a mess, like baby.. I didn't eat, I guttle this kebab with all my heart.. It was so good, so soft, so juicy, so everything.. All this kebabs from these countries where I eat them, this one is real kebab ( an till I try one in Turkey ) And guy put in the bag 4 small brad 'for tomorrow' and say thanks see yaa.. So, if you find yourself in Norrtalje for some reason, go to Espalnaden and try kebab.. I'll say, good 600g-700g of fine tortilla kebab! Buon appetito...

Outstanding restaurant, unbelievable food. Not just the pizza, the salads and pasta are superb as well. The ingredients are super fresh, the skill of the chefs are way beyond anything I've seen outside the poshest of restaurants. Also the prices are more than reasonable and the service is flawless.

Esplanaden is where I go when I feel I have deserved something extra. They have yet to dissapoint.

Personal recommendations: pasta carbonara, crossfit salad, pizza Mama Mia with...

Glada, trevliga kockar och även om man inte förbeställt får man sin mat blixtsnabbt. Plus för att de har citron-fanta. Minus för mesiga (men goda) sido-såser som skulle "komma till sin rätt" om de bara fick smaka mer av de ingredienser som utgör smakbilden, de känns utslätade och tillrättalagda och det behöver de inte. T ex kunde den röda kebabsåsen lätt vara dubbelt så stark och innehålla 50% mer av samtliga andra kryddor. Ett minus till för att vitkålssalladen är så ojämn, ibland är den väl slakad, balanserad med olja, sötma, syrlighet och är marinerad tillräckligt länge och rätt vad det är får man en låda nästan rå vitkål i ren vinäger med lite salt på. Portionerna är av Amerikansk modell så om du inte är bodybuilder på ätardag eller nyss sprungit ett Marathon kan det vara bra att ta med en låda till resterna, annars bjuder huset oftast på en folielåda på begäran. Priset är verkligen inget att gnälla över och kvaliteten på det du får ligger mellan "god" och "överraskande välgjort". Bra jobbat Esplanaden, jag har aldrig fått dålig mat av er och...
