My family and I experienced a Christmas-style buffet dinner as invited guests at Wendela Hebbe's Restaurant in Södertälje and it was an overwhelming experience. From the cold specialities (herring and salmon in a variety of preparations) to the warm dishes (with the Swedish meatballs leading the way), everything was a joy for our palate, even flavours which we may not have entirely been accustomed to previously. I also enjoyed the dessert selection, with nothing too sweet (thanks to the spices that are invariably added to sweet recipes in Scandinavia), just the way I like it. Solid choice in the area when looking for local smoked fish. Generous helping of a side of salmon, smoked really nicely, along with boiled potatoes and a really absolutely delicious home made dill sauce.

My mum ordered the starter with pesto and mozzarella bread and it was super generous serving, and she enjoyed this option, despite the limited vegetarian options. Props to our server for suggesting this menu item for her.

My brother got the freshly made waffle with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries which was great end to the meal.
