La Fontana — Restaurant in Södertälje kommun

A nice and friendly experience with good food and generous portions.

This feels like a good addition to the Södertälje food scene. The quality of the food is good and I was surprised that the chef had managed to make both a good al dente risotto, a perfectly cooked medium rare steak and a perfect molten chocolate cake with a liquid chocolate core. Well done!

The restaurant is a bit small and it is a bit noisy and hard to talk, price is a bit high, but since the dishes had good quality it was a fair deal.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Defiantly worth to revisit, especially in the summer where a pleasant dinner or lunch outside could be...

The food was great, I would recommend the toast Skagen followed by the truffle and beef pasta. Although my colleagues who I visited with raved about the lamb for the main and I do feel I missed a trick! We all thought the portions were very big, so depending on appetite if doing starters it could be an idea to share. I did it find it strange that after the starters, we were asked to hold onto our cutlery for the main as opposed to getting new cutlery. I would not have expected this and thus knocked down for...

Förrätten: Carpaccio di manzo, helt ok. Huvudrätten: Filetto di manzo, njaee. Beställde medium/rare och fick well done. Skickade tillbaka köttet till köket och fick mer medium. Alltså inte vad jag beställde. Rätten räddades av pepparsåsen men att betala över 300 kr för pepparsås är inte värt.

Efterrätten Gino var ett skämt. Absolut var det alla ingredienser till en gino men den var ej ugnsgratinerad och minimalt med vit choklad. Kiwin måste ha varit konserverad. En tugga räckte.

Serveringspersonalen var i överlag trevlig men borde definitivt ha varit mer tillmötesgående när notan kom.

Trevlig lokal, fräscha toaletter. Dock mycket högljutt.
