I grew up in Texas, so my standards are high. That said, the burnt ends were pretty good, the brisket was okay, and the mac and cheese was pretty good. The pulled pork had an odd flavor, in my opinion. The sausage was nothing special. It's like what you get in the grocery store. The coleslaw was.. different. It was pink for some reason. Taste okay, a little spicy, but not what I think of when I think of coleslaw. The potato salad was bland. The choices for BBQ sauce on the table were just okay. One was a "Carolina BBQ" but it taste like more of a mustard sauce to me, it was good though. The "Texas Bbq" sauce was not very good. I have been in Sweden almost 7 years now and, in my experience, BBq sauce is just not really a thing here. It's like they don't understand it. The sauce on the burnt ends was good though. They were the best part, though not as tender as what I'm used to. We didn't get to try the ribs because they were sold out. In fact, after we made our order all of the meat was sold out except the burnt ends and the sausage. (We know because they came out and marked the menu with little sold out signs) We did get there late (1pm) considering they close at 2pm. On the plus side, the ambiance was nice. Outside it looks like a true "hole-in-the-wall" being in the middle of an industrial area, but inside was cozy and felt like it could be in Texas. They had country music playing, which isn't as common as you would think in Texas restaurants, but a nice touch. The staff were not rude at all, but I wouldn't call them friendly either. It was very expensive, as most things are in Sweden. (BBQ in Texas is usually pretty pricey as well) Anyways, this is just my honest critique. If I went there again I would get the burnt ends, brisket, and mac and cheese. Oh, the cornbread was also sold out. Would have loved to try it. I love cornbread and it's also not common around Sweden for some reason. They don't know what they...
Read moreTruly a hidden gem if youâre into BBQ. If you just look at the rating and decide this is a place to go for your one day vacation in Stockholm you might want to reconsider, it is far a way from the city center and youâll probably burn half a day trying to find it if youâre not familiar with Stockholm warehouses. If you live here Iâd certainly seek it out, if youâre walking from Hammarby Sjöstad or Ă rsta: itâs further than you think, donât try to be there at 14:00, try for 12 and find it by 13. Very friendly staff, ask them for recommendations, they know what...
Read moreGreat bbq to be in Sweden. Great to see that you are doing texan bbq sauce and daring to keep it tangy and not overly sweet. The pickles though were not very texan, lacking dill and too sweet..
Great burnt ends and sausage but the brisket was a bit on the lean side and lacking a bit of pepper and salt and could have a lot more smoke time. 5o get a 5 you need to start classifying your brisket moist/lean or point/flat. đ
Still highly recommended and if you haven't been to Texas a lot you'll likely find it...
