I recently tried this Afghan restaurant and was genuinely impressed! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and vibrant with color. You can tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality. Their Mantoo is a must try!!
The atmosphere was also a highlight. It felt very authentic and really captured the essence of Afghan culture with its décor and music. However, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the cleanliness could be improved, the floors and some surfaces weren’t as clean as they should be.
Still, it’s definitely worth a visit for the food alone. I’ll gladly come back and recommend it to others looking for top notch afghan food...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Shamali Restaurant with on my Birthday , and it was an absolute treat. The ambiance is warm and inviting for a memorable meal. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor in a big plater.
For the main course, I highly recommend Shamali Special or Shamali Premier which has Lamb Shank—fall-off-the-bone tender, infused with spices, and served with a side of freshly baked naan, Kabuli pulao, chicken Biryani, grilled chicken and lamb BBQ.

The ambiance is lovely, and the food is of very good quality, with a salad bar, ayran, and tea included with meals. The family seating arrangement provides privacy, although it seems a bit space-consuming.
The only concern is controlling wetness from the outside snow, which isn't pleasant for those sitting near the entrance. Another suggestion is to take care of the restroom area in a timely manner.
