Food poisoning due to poor hygiene and complete denial from the owner even though the municipality confirmed them as the source.
5 people from different households only coming together one single afternoon to order foodora and watch a movie. 24 hours later, 4 out of 5 suffer from severe food poisoning lasting for 1-2 days.
I reported the incident to the municipality that confirmed that more people had gotten food poisoning from Satsu during this time. I was given the phone number to the owner and was encouraged to ask for compensation for lost work days. The owner did not only not compensate, but instead denied they were responsible and tried to lecture me on food safety.
As I am working as a microbiologist, it became quite ironic. This owner had no experience of infection incubation time or pathogens, and did not even offer to repay for the food causing the poisoning, even when asked. The infection we experienced was due to post contamination of the rice, meaning either poor hygienic routine for staff, or poor standards for keeping food safety.
They do their own delivery, meaning you can't track it using foodora - and also, it took ages to arrive. The sushi on its own did taste good, but given the backlash we faced after, none of it was worth it.

I waited downstairs to open the door for them but after 20mins (since the app showed that the food will arrive soon) but no calls, no one came, so I went back to my room and waited for the call. Turned out the delivery guy called me several times but the calls couldn’t reach me of some reason. He also showed me and proved that he really called many times. Kinda yelled at me in the end that my phone is broken. I let my friends call me directly after that to see if it’s really my phone, and there’s no problem when my friends called. Tried calling the place several times but they just kept on hanging up on me. Ended up calling from a different phone than the one I ordered from and they picked up.
