The Grano Pizzeria — Restaurant in Adliswil

Food was good. Staff was friendly. Service needs significant improvement.

Tried the restaurant on Friday at lunch and dinner.

At lunch, our order was confirmed multiple times (like they didn’t trust their own writing). Gave some indications of staff not very experienced. They even took order of desert and didn’t take anything with them (a waiter doesn’t leave empty handed usually). Which meant that when they brought the dessert they had to awkwardly move the plates of the starter and main. I wasn’t even offered another glass of wine nor coffee (a waiter always upsells).

For dinner, we had a reservation outdoors. It was just chaos. We waited around 30 minutes for someone to take our order and more than 40 minutes for 5 pizzas. Drinks were also not flowing. I suspect that with this much waiting for food we would have ordered more drinks.

A few things I’d suggest changing sooner rather than later:

get staff a uniform or standard clothing. Seems like folks are waiting tables with their own clothes. Can’t tell if it’s a waiter or a random person. get a modern system to take orders or find a way to improve the current system. Having a simple order confirmed two times felt like a waste of time and if you can’t trust your handwriting during calm hours, I imagine it’s hard during busy hours. Moreover the waiter spends time entering the order again in the computer inside. QR code on the table to let people order could also work to speed up the process providing your system supports it. set time expectations when you seat a customer like “service is a bit slow today. Expect X minutes for your food”. play some ambient music? Would contribute to the ambience. Some lights on the tables outdoors would also be a nice touch.

I’ll go back someday to see if the service...

1st time to dine and it was based on referral and also curiosity as we'd drive past it ... conveniently located near the Aldi shopping center, so parking 🅿️ is easy accessible...

Entered and we were kindly greeted by the staff. We sat outside on the patio and it was pleasant.

Very very Clean - Organized atmosphere...loved the built in oven ...

Service was Excellent 👌 👍...I believe our server's name was John? - but I'm not sure! He was Very kind.

Food was good but Nothing Exciting! We orders Pizza + pasta & salad & drinks. Price for Adliswil is a bit pricey but then again it's Switzerland 😅.

Would go back again....as to support them locally. They've been there for less than 6 months... Oh and the Tiramisu was Great - Homemade and Delicious...
