The views at Restaurant Bellevue on Pilatus-Kulm are absolutely stunning—but unfortunately, the food doesn’t come close to matching the scenery. The setup is chaotic, with no clear line or direction, leaving people confused about where to go or how to order.

To make matters worse, the pricing is unclear and confusing. It’s hard to tell what’s included and what isn’t, and you may find yourself charged unexpectedly high prices for even small sides. There’s little transparency, which makes the experience feel even more frustrating.

The food itself felt like overpriced cafeteria fare—bland, uninspired, and not worth the premium prices. It honestly reminded me of a high school lunch tray. I was very disappointed, especially when I found a piece of plastic wrap in my meal.

This restaurant is NOT allergy friendly. The chef does not take allergies seriously. We explained to the chef the allergies and he said there was no eggs, milks, nuts, or shellfish in the sausage. We repeated the allergies multiple times to really make sure he knew every allergy. We thought he checked but he did not because after one bite my family members with the allergy had their throats swelling. I’m just glad we did not have to use an epipen! My brother is throwing up in the bathroom as we speak because of the chefs carelessness! Please be more careful! This could have caused death if their throats closed up! We loved the place up.there. considering some prices we paid in last week here in Switzerland we found the food offering well worth it. Great value for money and amazing scenery even on a cloudy rainy day. Staff on counter were friendly and helpful. The food was of good quality.. We also had drinks and price was worth it. We had an elderly mother with us and a second person who sat waiting while we did two small walks and they felt comfortable and relaxed waiting which is lovely and made experience so much better.
