We booked 2 rooms as we were a family of 4 with 2 adult children. This was my favorite hotel and favorite town during our 9-day trip in the Swiss Alps. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel was charming (though a balcony would have been nice). There is no elevator, so beware if you have physical limitations. We do not, and didn't mind. The food in the restaurant was excellent - the breakfast buffet was great, and the dinner was also delicious. I had raclette, which was truly amazing and unlimited - he kept bringing more out with a smile. Fondue was also great. When we wanted to eat out one night, they made a recommendation and reservation for us at a restaurant across town, and it was also excellent! We came for the folk music festival, and we weren't disappointed - truly amazing to hear all the traditional music. Our nearby hike was also jaw-dropping. Lastly, the village of Grimentz is truly storybook gorgeous, the most beautiful place we saw. I'd highly recommend a visit to Hotel de Moiry if you're planning a trip to...

The desserts and starters were also delicious and varied, especially the festive menu starter that involved St. Jacques and foie gras, prepared in an interesting and succulent way.||In the early years of our visits to Grimentz we had tried all of the local restaurants and had found them mostly OK to disappointing, so we tended to mostly self-cater, but this year we decided to try a proper restaurant meal here again, and we are so glad that we did that at Hotel du Moiry! We will...
