Unforunately our experience was very poor. Seems the restaurant Alpenwok apparently has no kitchen hood, our clothes now smell like the food we had. They say they do a journey with you through Asia and you "have to" order a 3- or 4 course menue (CHF 59 / CHF 69). We eat Thai food a lot but it appears there was no one from the crew ever in Thailand. Everything was full of oil and in order to make it Thai they just threw Soja Sauce on it. The Pad Kra Pau was like Rindsgulasch in Soja Sauce and the Pad Thai was cooked with Egg-Noodles from Italy!! Guys, don't get me wrong, but this is cheating people. The food was poor, which, for the price point (more than anything even on the mountain) and at a lower quality is not acceptable. Spaghetti was watery, barely any meat with it. One thing I cannot forgive, despite ordering drinks, still charged 2.5chf for tap water per person. They also charged 5chf for parmasan for spaghetti. Never seen this before and would not go back. Read moreThis place is great! It’s where the ABC ski school take the children for lunch. But it’s saved us on evenings when we’ve not managed to get a restaurant booking (or where bookings haven’t been honoured - Simmens Rosti 😡)
The takeaway pizza is delicious and so is the pasta carbonara.
You can order online, pay by Apple Pay and it’s ready at the time selected. Easy and efficient.
Relatively well priced for Switzerland as everything here seems to be expensive and that’s coming from a Londoner!
