The beauty of this place is that first of all it is convenient to reach. It is a walking distance from Bern Wankdorf train station away. If you want to do some shopping prior to dining, the Wankdorf stadium shopping mall gives you this opportunity as well. The restaurant itself is big, the inside is bright and spacious. If you want to have just a drink while watching soccer, no problem. The bar will do it. But if you rather out for some dinner or lunch, the restaurant part in the back is the place to sit and yet you can see the screens to watch soccer. The service during our team dinner was great. Restaurant Eleven Bern offers great Italian dining in an elegant setting. As starter I had a Kohlrabi soup with bacon, which was full of flavors. Then I had a chicken Saltimbocca with a perfectly cooked risotto. It is not easy to cook a great risotto, but Eleven did very well. Afterwards, I had a small tiramisu, which I enjoyed as well. Meine Schwester & ich waren letzte Woche im Eleven zu besuch. Der Kellner der uns bediente war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als wir unser Aperolspritz und die Vorspeise (Grosser Salatteller mit Speck) bekamen, waren wir mit dem Essen & Trinken sehr zufrieden. Als wir dann den Hauptgang bekamen, waren wir nur ENTTÄUSCHT. Das Essen von meiner Schwester wurde fehlend serviert. Sie bestellte Penne mamma Rosa (Tomaten-Rahmsauce, Cherry Tomaten & Büffelmozzarella) als Ihr Essen ankam, bekam sie nur Penne mit Tomaten-Rahmsauce ohne eine einzige Cherry-Tomate oder eine Büffelmozzarella! Ich bestelle Rindsentrecôte, Rucola, Parmesanspäne und Bratkartoffeln, auch dieses Gericht war nur eine Enttäuschung! Das Fleisch kam kalt, die Kartoffeln schmeckten wie 2 Tage alt! Als wir das Essen zurück gaben um das Gericht meiner Schwester zu verbessern und mein Fleisch zu wärmen, sah ich das Gesicht vom Koch bis zu uns wie es ihm ANSCHISS das Gericht erneut zu wärmen/ zu verbessern.
