BernExpo has probably had its best days. On a sunny day like we have experienced at our trade show, they cannot manage the temperature. And this applies at 27° celsius. So no extreme climate. Let alone a WARM sunny day. Visitors were mainly well dressed, so no shorts or t-shirts. I assume a trade / exposé hall should be able to manage this accordingly or adapt / even improvise. Same goes with catering. "Fingerfood" was nothing remotely similar. Although tasty, the choice of food was badly chosen given the fact of the dressed clientel (see above) and the setup which asked for eating in a standing up manner. Chunks of food too big (far from a mouthful) and choice that asked for splashy experience everywhere when taking a bite... It is an amazing experience which has DJs and sundowner parties as the sun sets. You have a lot of activities happening around which is quite fun. You need a full day to thoroughly enjoy it.
I would definitely go there again and recommend you going as well.
Big negative: (This alone takes 1 point down for me) If you drive a car, then don't park it in the exposition parking at all. Find a parking elsewhere. They charge CHF 15 which is a lot. They do not havr any proper parkign space but is more like parking in an open farm like area. Super annoying...

Part of the outdoor area is covered in loose concrete/gravel so, if you're pushing a buggy, you and your baby should be ready for a bumpy ride every step of the way... might be uncomfortable for some kids, and for some parents steering.
Enough toilets for visitors.
It's right opposite the Wankdorf football ⚽️ stadium, where the YB (Berner Young Boys) club host their matches.
On the same grounds, is a wide green field, large enough for various games by various groups/teams, freely accessed by the public for private outdoor activities. Up the hill towards the shades are spots where people can host picnics...
