Excellent restaurant on the edge of the old town. The inside seating is actually beneath the old wall of the city and has great atmosphere. I have been going to Biel for almost 20 years for work and my old favorite for fondue in the town changed ownership and closed. I checked out Les Caves based on google reviews and am glad to make them a new regular for my visits. In the future I will be certain to try out some of their other Swiss dishes. Surprisingly they also had menus in English.

Ohje wo soll ich nur Anfangen. Total schönes Restaurant eigentlich jedoch die Bedienung sehr überforderet. Ich verstehe das an einem Freitag viel zu tun ist, jedoch ist Kunden Umgang das wichtigste was hier leider nicht der Fall war. Die Karten wurden einfach hingegeben, frage für etwas zu trinken wurde nicht entgegen genommen oke kein Problem kann Mal vorkommen. 15 Minuten später hat man uns wieder wahr genommen und wir durfen bestellen. Ich wollte mein Rind zwischen saignant und bleu, sei nicht möglich also in diesem Fall Bleu. Nach einer Stunde kam endlich einmal die Vorspeise man bedenke zu diesem Zeitpunkt sitzen wir 1 1/4h in dem Restaurant. Der Salat war schlampig noch braun an den Rändern somit wurde der Salat zurück gegeben immerhin zahlen wir etwas um die 10.- für einen kleinen und ich meine wirklich kleinen Salat. 20 Minuten später also 1h 35min speter fragen wir wann das Essen kommt. Ich meine einen frischen Salat sollte doch in 10Minuten spätistens auf dem Tisch stehen. 1h 40 endlich kam die Hauptspeise aber wo war der Salat ??? Naja vergessen what ever. Mein Fleisch man bedenke Bleu war durch es war à point. Ich habe ihn darauf hingewiesen jedoch kamen leider nur Ausreden vonwegen das Rind war noch ganz jung. Jeder der Ahnung hat weiss das Bleu 1 Minute pro Seite angebrannt wird es sollte roh sein. Kein Sorry nichts, er (Chef, Chef vom Service keine Ahnung) ging einfach mitten in meinem Satz. WOW …. Essen war gut nichts spezielles. 10 Minuten nachdem Essen, Teller ect. noch auf dem Tisch kommt er und fragt ihr wollt zahlen ? Wir uns alle verwirrt angeschaut eehm ja. Im Nachhinein hat niemand von uns gesagt wir wollen zahlen er wollte uns einfach los werden. Gezahlt haben wir nicht wenig, jedoch kam von niemanden den ganzem Abend kein einziges Sorry.
