This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel or gîte part. We were looking for a restaurant for dinner while staying in Brienzwiler. On the back road to Brienz, we saw a sign on the side of the road that said Eichhof Restaurant Open. So we said let's try that. The place looked to be busy with regulars. After a few minutes waiting outside, we went inside to ask if it was ok to sit inside. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and not quite sure where to put us... it also looked like we were bothering her. Maybe it was too many people to handle, maybe we caught her at the wrong time. In any case, we didn't stay because we felt uncomfortable et not welcome. I guess if you don't have a lot of space inside and it's going to rain, don't put a sign that the restaurant is open if your regulars already occupy most of the tables.
