Tsukimi-Tei — Restaurant in Circolo di Carona

We were here after Easter holidays doing small domestic vacation. Decided to try a dinner in the hotel’s Japanese restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the chef Alessandro. He was performing a masterpiece for each guest. Despite intense cooking on the hot plate he managed to take care about personal preferences. It was a delightful gastronomic experience with colorful fusion of Japanese food with a little touch of Italian scent. Thank you Alessandro for this evening and I will not be surprised if one day I will visit your cooking and somewhere will hang a Michelin star. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Totally overpriced and it wasn't even that good. We ordered shumai for appetizers and it tasted like it was frozen before and they just simply boiled it up. We also ordered the kiko-sushi and it was COMPLETELY overpriced for the 8 pieces of sushi you get. One of them had a slice of octopus on it, and it wasn't EDIBLE! For our main course we ordered duck and it was so rubbery and hard, I barely ate half of it. Such a waste of money for such food. The only good thing was probably the small bowl of fried rice with costed 8 CHF!! I have a lot of experience regarding asian food and this was definetly one of the worst japanese food I've ever had. J'avais invité ma femme pour lui fêter son anniversaire dans ce restaurant, résultat une addition très salée, ambiance nulle et le service pas du tout à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles. Il est fortement dommage que la direction de l'hôtel est changé le personnel du restaurant japonais ! Le nouveau maître d'hôtel n'a aucune classe, pas attentif aux clients, il y aussi un serveur totalement nul, bas de gamme. Je regrette l'ancien chef ainsi que l'ancien maître d'hôtel. Heureusement qu'il y avait une jeune femme absolument gentille et serviable qui a était la seule à souhaiter à ma femme un bon anniversaire.
