I pass Morchino regularly and have been going there since around 2002. It's been consistently excellent and my first memory was that the food and wine seemed cheap and I therefore had to have some more!!

Pier I think is always there. I've never been there and he was not there. He's a lovely chap and I do believe he now speaks some English - I go with Italian-speaking folk (for my sins) and he's always happy to hang out and spend time with his guests.

I have two complaints: I ride my motorbike home past Morchino quite often and smell the costine being grilled. This is torture for me as I know I am not eating them!! The food is that good and I usually eat too much. The wine is too good and it's decently priced so my walk home after visiting is harder than it should be!!

Ambiente, Food, Service, Location: Just one word: PERFECT!!! Today we gladly found this great location ! The friendly (german speaking) Chef who explained and tranlated the menu card for us. Super kind staff and service. Starting with a delicious mixed salad ( the dressing is a miracle) we ordered and received high quality entrecote and filet ( grilled) with delicious side dishes ( baked potato with a Sour Cream heavenly made, green beans - and tomato salad). Only regional products served! Red wine 'Barbera' was a perfect match, same as the beer selection from a small private brewery. Finishing with the best Panacotta Dessert we eher had a just perfect Dinner! Thank you so much, we will be back on our next Lugano visit 😊😊😊

Ein ohne Abstriche perfekter Abend zum Dinner. Wunderschönes Lokal mit unglaublich freundlichem , aufmerksamen Personal und einem deutsch sprechendem Inhaber, der uns mit Engelsgeduld die Speisekarte übersetzte.

Nach einem Vorpseisensalat mit einem göttlichen Dressing gab es Entrecote und Filet vom Rind mit perfekt getroffenem Gargrad vom Grill, dazu Ofenkartoffel (die Sour Cream!!!!), grüne Bohnen und Tomatensalat, beides hervorragend angemacht. Die Fleischqualität (nur heimische Produkte, wie wir erklärt bekamen): herausragend. Zum Nachtisch die beste Panacotta an rotem Fruchtspiegel, die wir je hatten.
