Old Wild West - Mendrisio — Restaurant in Circolo di Mendrisio

We travelled there from far away to eat at this beautiful restaurant with a cool menu. However when we got there we had a strange experience. First of all we waited in a long line. We thought ok this place must be great with this long line! Everyone wants to go there! When we got to the front, we noticed the restaurant was only half full. Why the Long line then? Well after scanning the place we saw 10 dirty tables or unbused tables. The staff was kind of confused and mean to each other. Some host type guy was walking around with a bottle of windex half washing some tables, arguing with some waitresses. Every once in a while he would let a couple people in, after a big conversation about god knows what. Sometimes he would appear at a table and take the payment of people who were finished long ago. So you had a lot of staff working, yet a huge confusion as to who should do what. They need a busboy or train the staff or something. Vorrei dedicare una recensione speciale alle due fantastiche cameriere Valentina e Giorgia del ristorante Old Wild West, che hanno reso la nostra serata davvero indimenticabile.

Fin dal momento in cui siamo entrati, Valentina ci ha accolti con un sorriso caloroso e una gentilezza che ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. È incredibile quanto sia attenta e professionale nel suo lavoro: ha saputo consigliarci i piatti migliori del menù con una descrizione così precisa e appassionata che non potevamo resistere! Durante tutta la cena, è stata sempre presente al momento giusto, anticipando le nostre esigenze senza mai essere invadente.

Giorgia, invece, ci ha colpiti per la sua simpatia travolgente e la sua capacità di mettere tutti di buon umore. Con un’energia positiva contagiosa, ha saputo creare un’atmosfera conviviale, rendendo ogni momento al tavolo piacevole e rilassante. Anche lei è stata impeccabile nel servizio, dimostrando grande attenzione ai dettagli: dai piatti serviti con cura alla rapidità nel soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta.

Il lavoro di squadra tra Valentina e Giorgia è stato evidente e impressionante: il loro coordinarsi perfettamente ha reso tutto ancora più fluido e piacevole. È raro incontrare persone così appassionate e dedicate al proprio lavoro, capaci di trasformare una semplice cena in un’esperienza straordinaria.

Grazie di cuore a queste due ragazze eccezionali, che rappresentano al meglio l’eccellenza del servizio del ristorante Old Wild West. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare presto e, senza dubbio, cercheremo di essere serviti...

Went here with my wife and a 2-month-old baby at 13:30 (mid lunch time!) and we were the only people in the restaurant.

Burgers served cold, with cold french fries on the side. Impossible to swallow.

While we were eating, the waiter decided to start sweeping the dust all around us for 10 minutes! We thought it was a hidden camera, but the poor guy has no idea what he’s doing.

We plan to avoid this...
