Confiseur Bachmann AG - Emmen Center — Restaurant in Emmen

This is a place I visit frequently. It's inside one of the bigger malls around (Emmen Center - easily accessable by public transportation).

It's part of a bigger franchise with lots of stores in the town of Lucerne. They do sell pastries, bread, sandwiches and much more here. The pastries and desserts are quite fine, but especially the bread is really good.

But we always come here to have lunch in the attached Café / restaurant (dogs allowed). You wouldn't expect much from it, but it serves really good food. Easy stuff like Nuggets, fries and hot sandwiches. But very good are the Pizzas and the Pasta.

Service is fine. You order at the counter and you pick up your food yourself when it's ready....and it's ready pretty fast, even when the place is packed.

Pizza with the hot salami (hot peperoni) is mostly my choice. Sometimes I go for the a bit more adventurous Pizza with Pineapple and Curry. But also the pasta is very well made. Pesto Ravioli for example....great choice. Comes with the nice pesto sauce, permesan cheese and a good load of pine nuts on top. Small portion (about 10-12 pieces) cost about 12 CHF. Pizza are between 12 and 16 CHF. So it is actually a pretty cheap place to eat....and it's better than many restaurants around (or in Lucerne).

Eat there at least once a week. Most of the food is edible and the staff is friendly. Eating in the cafe is more expensive which does not make sense to me. Other than that it’s typical Swiss Prices. The reason for the bad review is the downgrading in food quality over the years. Foods like the Ravioli used to be 1a quality. Now they changed to horrible tasting much cheaper quality Ravioli for the same price as before. Sauces for the pastas has seen the same changes. Shame on you Bachmann for being downgrading your quality and constantly changing your dishes that used...

Ich habe lange gebraucht, um endlich eine Google-Rezension zu hinterlegen. Immer wieder habe ich Ihnen (Bachmann Emmen Center) eine neue Chance gegeben, doch jetzt reicht es einfach. Nicht nur die Bedienung die zu Wünschen lässt, sondern auch mangelnde Qualität. Käse für die Pasta, welches nicht kontrolliert wird und Schimmel aufweist(das mehrmals), Bestellungen welche nicht weitergegeben werden, Kommunikation im Team, welches lieber Privatgespräche und Witze erzählt anstatt Bestellungen aufzunehmen/Bestellungen auszuführen. Bei Reklamationen(wie im Fall, Schimmel ;) ), wird man höchstpersönlich von der Führungsposition, nicht ernst genommen und veräppelt. Anscheinend ist es bei Schimmel im Essen zu viel verlangt, das Geld zurückerstattet zu bekommen. Geschweige von einem Gutschein. Personal ist alles andere als motiviert, bis auf ein paar wenigen Ausnahmen. Wir sind alle nur Menschen und ich verstehe es komplett, wenn man einen schlechten Tag hat ABER, dass es auf Dauer ist bezweifle ich. Fehlende Arbeitsmoral und eventuell den falschen Beruf auserwählt. Fragliche...
