Signature dish well below standards expected Firstly when there are only a few Thai restaurants to choose from in Lausanne Morges Region sometimes you do not raise your standards too high and justify this on the premise it is entirely different cuisine to the standard cuisine of the country and you are fortunate to access that experience
Unfortunately you are taken aback on arrival by the sheer amount of concrete paving surrounding the restaurant let alone the fact that it is at the intersection of of two principal road.
The restaurant itself is uninviting and lacks energy and atmosphere and terribly olfactory fashioned
Thai Red Curry with chicken is a signature dish which is a marker which decides the quality of a Thai restaurant like tiramisu in Italy and mousse chocolat in France.
There can be variations in ingredients from basil to lemongrass to pea shoots to kaffir limes to ginger and of course coconut milk and bamboo shoots
Five of our party chose this dish, some our first visit,as it usually is one you can rely on for restaurant to get right
It was completely bland with tiny morsels of basil and no fresh fragrant flavours arising. Its colourless appearance did not help.usually chunks of chicken thigh are used but here bizarrely thin slices of chicken breast were the order of the day The fried egg vegetable rice as an accompaniment was a welcome as a side dish
It was a complete letdown
The starter was no better - the mixed appetiser was hugely disappointed - apart from vegetable spring rolls the other two chicken elements were dry and ravioli one mainly batter obviously pre cooked and reheated
The acoustics were extremely bad with a very noisy table nearby ruining our evening catching up with friends.I mentioned this to the manager at the end who really should have intervened and not required a prompt from us while it was happening.I did not wish to make an issue front of our guests
Sadly the food did not match the excellent service and surprisingly non Thai icecream/sorbets were excellent

Read moreExcellent food, service and location near Aubonne Outlet and IKEA just off the A1 Motorway. Worth a stop when traveling between Geneva and Zurich/Ostschweiz. The staff are very friendly and attentive and speak excellent English. There is seating inside and outside. When I requested my Green Curry to be spicy, I was proposed to have it just as spicy as in Thailand (ignoring regional variations ;)). Portion size was perfect for a hungry traveler without being too much. Decor and cleanliness was impeccable with good facilities. Would recommend when in the area or passing through on a journey. Lots of parking outside included. Although I ate in the evening, the lunchtime menu looked very good value for money given the location. À la...
Read moreI have wanted to try this restaurant for a long while, the outside gave me the impression it was a dark and old place, so i looked.for an opportunity to test it oit with my son, and i was pleasantly surprised as it is warm and welcoming. Food was really good, for Switzerland the dishes had some good spice with some heat, better than most indian curry houses here. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great, just let down by a group of Swiss playing their phone videos loudly to one another, not the restaurants fault ! Will definitely come here more...
