Kohldampf Restaurant & Bierbar im Cinedome Abtwil — Restaurant in Gaiserwald

We were a group of 10 people and had vegetarian with us. We sat down and planned to have dinner together. All good so far. But.. then after most had already a drink and we ordered our food it was mentioned that the restaurant had 60% of their vegetarian Menü not available. They did did not mention that when we sat down, but waited until we had drinks and started to order. A good restaurant would have mentioned the severe lack of availability right when we sat down to eat. The waitress had no clue how to handle the situation professionally.

I must assume that they purposely did not inform us. Therefore I am very disappointed. Otherwise a good establishment, a little loud atmosphere. Had to ask for bread. And the bread was not good either by Swiss standards.

Paid 29 CHF for 9 (half) wings plus fries. This means, besides the fries, one complete wing (upper and lower part) sells in this restaurant for over 6 CHF. I am pretty sure that is more than I paid in Zurich for much better service and food.

Real shame. used to be good, but it reminds me of something you see on kitchen nightmares.

Very unfriendly older lady in the Pizza area that forced us to take a table for two. the table we wanted to take was one for three people and the restarant was empty. was very happy to see that it pretty much stayed that way for the next 4h.

We ended up having hamburgers in another area that however are cooked in the same kitchen. They tried to make them nice (+1 to the cook) but it seems they where forced to use some horrible frozen meat. same with the potatoe wedges. kinda reminded me of the frozen ones from Lidl.

Ich muss tatsächlich nach dem 2 Besuch die Bewertung von damals überarbeiten. Wir hatten eine Stunde Zeit was wie von Anfang an kommunizieren. Das wurde uns von Personal auch zugesichert das wir alles rechtzeitig bekommen. Das Bier wurde uns nach 35 Minuten Wartezeit gebracht weil es vergessen ging einzutippen. Das kann ja mal passieren aber dann Entschuldigt man sich doch. Das Essen wurde uns nach 50 min u 5x Nachfragen gebracht. Es kostete 64 fr für 2 (Fingerfood Platte) schaut selbst was man dafür bekommt. 80% günstiger geht es nicht u. Mini Flügel. Ich habe tatsächlich noch nie für so viel Geld so wenig bekommen. Ne sorry Essen möchte ich bei Ihnen nicht mehr u nicht weil es nicht schmeckt sondern weil Preis Leistung u Kundenbedienung dieses Mal wirklich sich als sehr schlecht darstellten. Alter Eintrag Gut bewerte ich das Ambiente und die wirklich gute Bedienung. Auch das Hausbier ist sehr gut.Ich hatte den Salatbouquet mit Rind. Für fast 30 Franken gibt's dafür ein paar Blätter grüner Salat. Drunter versteckt sich nicht deklarierter Randen,Mais,Gurke u Rüblisalat. Ertränkt in Salatsosse. Meins war es nicht wenigstens Brot läge bei den Preis...
