Fouad Traiteur — Restaurant in Geneva

My experience with Chez Fouad was not good.. having read the reviews before, I had higher expectations, and also considering their prices.

Me and my husband wanted to make a reservation and they told us they had no space in the restaurant to put baby strollers, (this was a very negative point for me), so we decided to order some food to take away and we would pass at 20h 20.. we arrived exactly at the hour, and for our surprise the restaurant its quite spacious, and it was almost empty. They gave us our order packed. As I usually do when I order food to take away, I checked the food to see if it was all good and all in there. It wasn't. Order incomplete and completely cold. We have order two Vegetarian plates (mezze I believe they are called), and even when we told the hour of pick up, they were completely cold, seemed like they prepared them when we called to reserve (18h30). The price of each plate is 35 CHF. We also ordered 10 piece of baklava for 20 CHF. The dessert was missing. So we had to go back to take it. For this moment I was super dissapointed... they gave us 5 pieces of baklava (mini baklava)... and my husband had need to remember them we had paid for 10 pieces.

To make matters worse, when we tasted the food, it had meat in the plate!! (Which you can see in the photo!)

I absolutely do not recommend this...

We ordered the mixed grill (kafte and lamb)and some chicken kebabs to taste a little of everything and ate it family style. The meats were delicious. The salad, hummus and goat cheese spread were also tasty. Lastly we chose the baklava for dessert and it did not disappoint.
