Tita Dimps — Restaurant in Geneva

I had lunch here on May 2, 2025 with some of my friends from high school in the Philippines. It was the first time for us to see each other after 20 years, so we decided to go to a Filipino restaurant.

Since one of my friends already made reservations; I was seated promptly as soon as I arrived. While waiting for 10-15 minutes for my friends, I was not served any refreshments nor was I offered anything at all. Essentially, I was alone in the restaurant while the server/owner was in the kitchen. She only appeared when the rest of my friends arrived.

Throughout the course of the lunch, we had to get the server’s/owner’s attention whenever we needed something: utensils, beverage refills, etc. When it was time for dessert, we had to call her from the kitchen to notify her and to ask for the dessert options.

This would have all been reasonable if it was a busy day with several other customers. But we were the only customers in the restaurant at that time…all 4 of us!

This little restaurant, a 10-minute walk from Gare Cornavin , serves authentic Filipino food. If you are filipino, the silogs (tapsilog, longsilog, tocilog) hit the spot. If you are unfamiliar with filipino food, then these are the tastiest plates to start with. The "silog" meals contain garlic fried rice, a fried egg, and a tasty marinated beef or pork sausage that goes best with vinegar.

The menu is small enough that you know everything/anything will be good.

If you're looking for a spot that serves incredible Filipino comfort food , Tita Dimps is an absolute must-visit! I totally recommend this gem — everything I've tried has been delicious, but I have to give a special shoutout to the sisig, which is easily one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked perfection!

And if you’re a fan of ube, this is your paradise. The ube desserts and the ube latte are out of this world! You can really taste the difference — they use fresh ube halaya and pure ube in all their dishes, and it shows in the rich, authentic flavor.
