Loved our walking tour and would highly recommend it! There was about 20 people on our tour. Jorge was our guide and he was knowledgeable, really friendly and fun. Gave us lots of opportunity to ask questions and get to know him too. The tour covered a decent amount of the city in 2-2.5 hours but not so much walking that you were tired on your feet. Jorge talked about everything from history, economy, philosophy, culture to the economy and political system in Switzerland - I learnt loads! Way way better than wandering around the city on your own. Jorge was also helpful and recommended other dos and don’t for tourists in the city as well as affordable eating spots. The tour is technically free but like most walking tours there’s an opportunity to give some money - Jorge explained this at the beginning so we were expecting it but didn’t feel pressure. We actually would’ve given more if we’d had more cash available as it was better...
Read moreComprehensive, varied and informative, Jorge exercised our minds whilst also providing mirth in this walking tour. I was impressed not only with the very well curated content - which was exactly the type of insight one would hope for on a tour - but also with the mode: Jorge structured the tour and orientated us helpfully. He made time for questions and was careful to answer them at the most appropriate time. Something I found particularly commendable was this (originally from Spain) man’s command of English - such varied and rich expressions including just the right idioms for the context. The precisely employed language combined with a feast of current and historical facts and Jorge’s opinions, plus the pleasing and understated humour were a great combination. Would highly recommend the tour and especially the tour guide. Muchas...
Read moreWe did the tour of Geneva with Alex in English and was very good when compared to other walking tours we had been on in other cities in Europe. Alex was this treasure trove of information on the history of Geneva and helped us understand the importance of the places we visited and how they have shaped not only switzerland but the world today from the founding of the Red cross, the swiss watch/banking Industry to how bottled water was an idea that sprouted from Geneva. The tour was totally worth it. I feel if Alex had set a time limit greater than 2.5 hours, he would still have enough snippets of information, recommendations and humorous anecdotes on Geneva. I highly recommend this tour and hope you visit the city on a clear day to take in the breathtaking views...
