Kesselhaus — Restaurant in Glattfelden

Never thought I would give this 1 star, the location of the restaurant is a 5 star indeed.

They welcomed us after having us wander and wait for someone at the entrance, but this was not enough, a waiter arrived at our table and he was not speaking, only a couple of “uhm” and “ahha”s, when I told him that I had allergy of sesame seeds and wether the burger’s bun had them as toppings, he said NO THE WHOLE BURGER DOESN’T CONTAIN SESAME SEEDS ANYWHERE.

So, I ordered, and finally, the order was basically a sesame cake, told them if I consumed this I would end up dead, they went to that specific waiter that noted our order, he kept making “finish” hand signs and went to another table, a friendly waiter came to my table and asked me whats wrong, told him and when he asked the other waited (the one who noted my order first) he clapped with his hand and made a very mad face (he was mad all the time anyway).

Anyway, they brought a steak and it was all a worthless experience, overpriced food and plenty of rudeness.

At the end, I would like to say that I would starve myself to death before thinking of revisiting this...

Very disappointed with the whole experience. We wanted to celebrate a birthday, but ended up spending the evening being treated very rudely by the service staff. I've never experienced such disrespect towards customers in a restaurant before! For the price of the food it is more than unacceptable how we were treated. Food did not meet the expectations as well (the beef filet was cold when it arrived and had to be sent back), but that is most likely due to incompetence of service staff (very long waiting times even though the food was ready), since the cook was very concerend and even came to talk to us about the issue. Very unhappy with my experience here. We came in to have a few drinks in the patio. Patio was closed, not a big deal. Then we see the menu, basic food is very overpriced, so we stuck with our original plan of just drinks. The wait staff then started to ignore us completely, walk by our tables not even look in our direction. We got the feeling that we were not very welcome at this restaurant because we opted to only have drinks. We then had to wait over 20 minutes to get our bills because the waiters just did not pay attention to us, we even piled our glasses to the end of the table trying to politely indicate that we wanted to leave.
