Hotel Sternen suits you well if almost everything you need is a good sleep for several nights.|The rooms are pretty big and nicely decorated. There're a bed, a wardrobe, a table with some chairs, a small coffee machine, TV, a hair dryer, a pretty good bathroom and a personal safe box there (!). |It might be a bit noisy in the room as soundproofing seems to be not good but for me it's not a problem as I guess even Apocalypse can't wake me up :D |For breakfasts you can have yogurts, cornflakes, fruits, boiled eggs, jams,chocolate pastas, croissants (very tasty ones), some types of bread, meat and cheese, milk, juices, tea, coffee. Clean and functional rooms above bar/restaurant. Paid about £100/night for a twin room, would say about 3 star max. Room had TV but no aircon (there was a fan). No fridge or minibar.||Bathroom no frills but clean and functional, shower good.||Staff nice and friendly and spoke good English.||Our room was 115, back corner and looked out onto the back of a warehouse where the staff like to stand and smoke, not very pretty. As soon as you step in you breath another era. The hotel is packed with furniture, paintings and objects collected during centuries and has much personality. Staff is very kind and helpful. Good breakfast. The room was clean and very well kept though there were no plugs next to the bed. With Bern ticket Bern is just 10/15 minutes away by bus and Koniz is very nice, full of shops and restaurants and close to the park. I had to keep the windows more closed than what I wanted because of traffic but once closed the noise stopped disturbing...
