Pizzeria Giardino — Restaurant in Kloten

Terrible service.

Such a shame that the pizzas are ok but service really let's this place down.

From the start it was destined to go wrong. We had booked a table for 5 for a nice birthday meal but for some reason it wasn't noted down and we were asked twice if we really did reserve the table..how rude when one family member went the day before in person to book the table.

Our server was rude throughout the whole evening and we waited a long time until we were asked for desserts.

When we finally received our desserts sadly two of the café glaces both had sour/expired whipped cream on top.

When we made the issue aware to the server we had to wait another while till we received two new cafe glaces. The server also told us that we could order coffee free on the house as a sorry. So we ordered two coffees.

To our surprise the two "offered" coffees were on the bill.

I don't understand how service could be so bad. It wasn't busy at all. There were 6 tables in total including ours with two servers.

We are disappointed and will not be returning. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. There are much better pizzerias...

Good place with excellent pizzas. Staff can appear to be little bit rude at times but I suspect this is because of oncreased stress levels during the busy dinner and lunch times. The pizzas really are excellent. Expect to pay swiss prices (meaning that compared to other countries its expensive). This is not a place to go for a fancy meal or a nice cozy romantic place. The interior is supposed to be italian style. It is adequate but not the most comfortable, a fairly simple style that is good enough for a quick casual dinner or lunch. But they do have excellent pizzas (cant say that enough). Try the pizza "Del Sud" - its only on the menu as a Calzone so if you dont like Calzone make sure to order it "open" or say "not calzone, but as a pizza". One thing that is excellent value for money is the family pizza. This pizza is large enough for three to four adults and is an absolute bargain at under 40chf. Finally, due to Covid-19 after a very long time we were able again to go to a restaurant for a dine-in. Where would you go if it has to be yummy and simple? Of course to a pizzeria which you are familiar with. So we decided to drive to Giardino in Kloten. The pizza was, as usual, very delicious and our kids, first time having lunch at this place, enjoyed a pasta and a lasagne. Both were amazed about the taste. The staff, as always, very friendly and speedy made our day with their customer-oriented serving. Thank you Pizzeria Giardino, it was again a good experience and a delicious lunch.
