Hotel Restaurant Alpenrose — Restaurant in Maienfeld

We were looking for a place to have lunch after walking to Heididorf and back, but most places were closed. Alpenrose looked open, so we stepped in and asked if they were still serving lunch. They asked if we meant hot lunch, and we replied in the affirmative. The server said to wait, and he asked the cook. He returned telling us what was still available. He did not make us feel like we were intruders, even though it was after 2:00 pm. He was gracious and helpful and very welcoming. The food was very good! We also were able to get dry after walking in the rain all morning! We highly recommend the Alpenrose Restaurant...

Literally; amazing. This was my most joyful station all over Europe, fresh air, beautiful landscape, very friendly staff and lovely people surrounding the area. The hotel owner offered me a 🆓 transportation ticket to explore the area which was valid for cable car, trains, trams and offers discounts for museums. Many thanks to the hotel owner who offered me free takeaway breakfast with coffee ☕️ on my checkout day as it was so early before the open...
