Chao Wang — Restaurant in Olten

Amazing Thai restaurant! The cook is a lovely lady who even came to our table to talk with us and recommended I take the medium spicy papaya salad next time (I took the spicy one and left some chilli on the plate). The food is absolutely delicious, probably the best one I have ever had outside of Thailand, and I have been to dozens of Thai places all over Europe. Prices are on the lower side, especially considering the huge portions you get, and the tea is very cheap. The only criticism I have is that the server (presumably the cook‘s daughter) is either very shy or a bit unfriendly, I wish she would make some small talk and recommendations like the cook herself. Äusserst unfreundlich und unprofessionell, kaum angekommen bereits mit dummen Kommentaren vom Herrn ob ich das Schild beim Parkplatz nicht lesen kann, dabei ist der Parkplatz für Restaurantbesucher. Auf die Aussage das ich ja hier essen möchte wieder im strengen Ton das es um diese Zeit noch nichts gibt. Es war 11:31, gemäss google und Homepage hat das Restaurant ab 11:30 geöffnet. Auf die Frage ab wann es dann was zu essen gibt mit "kurz vor 12" geantwortet. Ein gutes Beispiel das Covid die Gastrobranche anscheinend doch nicht so hart getroffen hat, ansonsten kann ich mir so ein Verhalten nicht erklären. Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, bin ja nicht...
