Hôtel-Restaurant "Le Terminus" — Restaurant in Porrentruy

I recently stayed there for business and I'm a bit torn about it, so let's proceed methodically.||||Good points:|| -Central location.|| -Most rooms are quiet, in spite of the proximity of the train station.|| -The rooms are clean.|| -The staff is friendly.|| -The wifi is free, and its signal is reasonably strong in most rooms.||||Bad points:|| -Some rooms are quite small. At least mine was. Some other reviewers say that the rooms are quite spacious, though. || -As far as I understand, some of the rooms recently got refurbished, but not all of them. Mine wasn't. || -The bathroom looked quite old.|| -The walls were very thin between the rooms. So I could hear my neighbour talking, and his alarm clock in the morning.|| -My room had no fridge, no kettle and I didn't see any hair dryer either. Lucky I'm a man with short hair!|| -The bed felt incredibly uncomfortable. That's clearly a matter of opinion here, but it was too soft for me, and I really disliked the U shape it got as soon as I lied down on it.|| -The TV was not configured properly and its sound was terrible. Most channels were unavailable and the printed channel list was outdated.|| -There was no accessible power socket around the desk. (Now, where do I connect my laptop's power supply?)|| -The restaurant is closed every Monday. I can't really blame the restaurant staff for having a day off though, but it is worth noting it. Too bad for us, as it looked like a good plan, specially for the hotel guests.||||Overall, I think it is a bit overpriced for...

Die NEP Schweiz Crew durfte für TSN die U18 Eishockey-WM in Ajoie und Basel produzieren.

Es erklärt sich von selbst, dass alle Hotels rund um die Eishalle und umliegenden Dörfern komplett ausgebucht waren.

Porrentruy ist ein wunderschönes Städtchen, fast ausnahmslose sehr freundliche und tolle Leute. Die Altsstadt ist eine Wucht. Sauber und gepflegt.

Ganz im Gegenteil zu dem Hotel und deren Angestellte. Das Hotel ist alt - das allein stört nicht. Die Zimmer wären eigentlich schön und man könnte sich wohlfühlen. Aber: die Zimmer sind schmutzig, stinken nach Fett und Küche. Die Gerüche haben sich in Vorhänge und Matraze eingebrannt. Wir logierten 10 Tage. Es wurde nie gesaugt, nie Staub gewischt, keine Geschirr weggeräumt, keine Bettwäsche gewechselt, was nach 5 Tagen eigentlich der Fall sein sollte. Das WC und die Dusche wurden nie gereinigt. Der Duschteppich nass zusammengelegt und vor die Dusche gelegt. Die Zimmer sind spartansich ausgerüstet, es fehlt einfach alles für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Die Möbel sind defekt, das WLAN Signal kaum vorhanden, der Fernseher eine reinste Katastrophe (auch hier wurde nie Staub gewischt).

Abgesehen von der Tatsache, dass der Koch weder Lüftung noch Fenster kennt, war das Essen sehr schmackhaft. Das arrogante, hinter dem Rücken des Gastes tuschelnde Personal nimmt falsche Bestellungen auf und ist zum Dank der falschen Bestellungsaufnahme nicht vereit, die Abrechnung zu Gunsten des Gastes anzupassen. Der Service ist eine reinste Katastrophe. So möchte man sich an der Französischen Haute Cuisine orientieren und hat dabei den Weg nicht gefunden. Das Frühstück ist eine armseelige Frechheit.

Nach Rücksprache mit den Organisatoren hat der Gérant dieses Etablissementes bei der Offertstellung 20 Prozent Aufschlag verlangt für die Hockeytage. Meiner ganz persönlichen Meinung nach, hätte jeder "vernünftige" Hotelier den Organisatoren einen Hammerpreis (Preisreduktion für 3 Wochen Full House) gemacht und dafür gesorgt, dass man Porrentruy und dieses Hotel nicht vergisst - im positiven Sinne.

Es gilt natürlich zu erwähnen, dass wir dem Gérant die oben aufgeführten Missstände kommuniziert und um Besserung gebeten haben. Der daraus resultierende Effort ist genau so enttäuschend wie alles andere in diesem Etablisdement.

Fazit: 140.00 CHF für so ein "Drecksloch" ist Wucher. Wir werden die Anwohner und deren Gastfreundschaft nicht mit der Unfähigkeit dieses Gérants verbinden und dieser tollen Ort in guter Erinnerung halten. Das Hotel Terminus ist das perfekte Beispiel wie es nicht sein sollte. Wir hoffen, dass dieses Hotel bald durch einen fähigen Hotelier ersetzt wird. In der Zwischenzeit werden eir alles daran setzen, dass aus unserem Bekannteskreis niemand auch nur einen Fuss in dieses...

I book a room in this hotel for the first time in august 2014. My room was a superior one, and was located at the rear of the hotel. It was important because I would like to avoid the noise from the railways station. And it was really very quiet. The next week, my superior room was not at the rear of the hotel but, at the front. I was a little unhappy for that, but after one night, a was pleasantly surprized... Almost no more noise than last week. So don't worry, this hotel is really quiet (in fact, there is not a big traffic in this train station). And about the restaurant, I only used the formula "pension" which offers correct and good meals. It's also possible to order from "La carte" (I have not tested it), but the plates seems appetizing...
