Buvette de l'Oued — Restaurant in Préverenges

I had the calamars which were served in a cardboard container with chips (fries). Unfortunately the whole thing had been doused in so much salt that I had to peel the batter off the squid and just eat the squid. Everything else went in the bin. I didn’t complain as there wasn’t much else on the menu that I fancied and I was in a rush. But the situation on the edge of Lac Leman is stunning. I’ve given three stars for atmosphere as there weren’t many people there and no atmosphere to speak of. And same for service. It’s self service so you pick up your food from the hatch. Even if the food had been good it’s way overpriced, but perhaps normal for Switzerland. I wouldn’t go back even if I were...

That is very nice beach bar, where obviously location is amazing. However the stuff and service which has been created there around is not less amazing. It has some downsides like not diverse menu or self service but to be fair it is clear considering the circumstances and what kind of business it is so just looking at different reviews I think we should match expectation with reality. For the purpose of that place it is nice place at lake where you can snack and drink and still have nice chat...

Je voulais simplement vous faire un petit retour après mon passage à l’Oued de Préverenges. L’endroit est magnifique, parfait pour profiter du beau temps — j’étais avec ma femme, on voulait juste se détendre et boire quelque chose.

Mais on a été un peu surpris de voir que vous n’acceptiez pas Twint. Sur une plage, la plupart des gens ne prennent pas leur porte-monnaie, ils ont seulement leur téléphone. Aujourd’hui, Twint est un moyen de paiement très courant et pratique.

Comme je n’avais pas ma carte non plus, j’ai dû demander à quelqu’un sur place de payer avec la sienne. Pour le remercier du service, je lui ai offert quelque chose, simplement pour que notre sortie ne soit pas gâchée. Mais c’est vrai que ce genre de situation peut être facilement évité.

Vous êtes dans un endroit vraiment privilégié, et ce serait dommage de ne pas faciliter l’accès à vos services. Accepter Twint rendrait les choses beaucoup plus simples pour tout le monde.
