This is a stunning place to enjoy a glass of wine or panaché in the spring. The view of the castle gardens, the rose garden and the lake is unbeatable. The coffee with their cheesecake is delectable! We went for a midafternoon snack while waiting for our son who was in a party inside the chateau. Walk around and explore after eating to enjoy what the chateau has to offer.

We had a bite in the café of the Chateau de Prangins, being served food from the 18th century (but newly cooked) as it should be in a historical museum. It's a cozy place that also offers brunches on week-ends with two seatings. There is a large west and south facing terrace for warm summer days.

Une excellente découverte ! Monsieur aux fourneaux assemble des saveurs avec doigté pour notre plus grand plaisir. Madame en salle veille avec bienveillance sur les visiteurs du musée ou les randonneurs (plusieurs chemins de rando passent à côté) qui décident de pousser la porte pour s'installer dans la grande salle lumineuse ou la terrasse en été. On reviendra pour le brunch !

The Brunch Buffet was really small. Why would you serve 9 different salads?? If not to just to fill you up. And there was no ham or other meat cuts plus just one type of cheese, really?? In Switzerland? Furthermore thehe gauffre were cut into pieces and rock hard and no real bread, just the cheap bread rolls!
