I had struggled to find a place in the area as we were coming to see a concert at Usine a Gaz. However, found this place after looking at the reviews. It seems this place has had a recent refurbishment as everything was clean and modernised with some of the old charm. We arrived on a late friday night and stayed for 2 nights. The staff were most friendly in helping us with queries about the local area, offered us inclusive breakfast which was of fresh bread, cheese, ham, croissant, the usual hot drinks and fruit. We had to go to a concert on a saturday night and wanted to have a long lie in on Sunday the next morning. They allowed us flexible check out time so we could rest and pack. The room was lovely, big and clean, overlooking the little square in front with the view of the church. The block out shutters worked wonders for allowing us to sleep deeply. The room was modernised and the shower was fantastic! Very big and large towels. The restaurant on the ground floor was booked out both evenings so the food must be...

Read moreRooms are nice, large shower and bathroom, no bidet. Comfortable and well heated in winter. They have a restaurant open for lunch and dinner, although expensive. You can get a freshly made croissant or pain au chocolat from across the street at the bakery for 2 euros. The hotel does not serve breakfast. Also across the street you have the Tea Room, for breakfast or lunch at excellent prices and wide selections. The only problem I found at this hotel is the bedsheets. The top sheet is integrated into the comforter (edredon) and is too short. The sheet is set at a waist height and it is not long enough to wrap at the bottom under the mattress, so your feet stay uncovered. Very strange way to make a bed and quite uncomfortable.
